I just received an amazing post card today from Joan Didion!!
I sent her a copy of Loving Richie care of her publisher in NYC
with a letter thanking her for her work..Salvador and Slouching Towards Bethlehem
and of course, her last book about the death of her husband and daughter,
The Year of Magical Thinking. She wrote a beautiful note. The return address has
is an inked stamp and has her name and her husband's name in around the edges
of this oval with their New York City
address in the middle.
It touched me so very much, her words, her address; all of us linked by the common threads of loss and love.
Wow! Joan Didion read my book! It is sitting in her home on a bookshelf.
Wow!
